What does My Trip Site do?

MyTripSite.com is an excellent one-stop personalized site that provides you with all the detailed information you'll need to plan for your upcoming trip. MyTripSite.com has taken all the work out of researching your travel destination and put everything you need all in one place - personalized just for you! Not only does MyTripSite.com provide you with all travel details, but it also helps you make decisions about what you can do on your upcoming trip as well as provide a place to share your trip with travel companions, friends and family. Some of the information you will find in your personalized travel website includes:

  • • Itinerary details, airport information, check-in times, baggage and allowance, required documentation
  • • Hotel details for your already booked hotel, hotel reservation details if you haven’t booked already, destination overview, interactive maps, fast facts and weather information
  • • Available tours & activities for purchase, Lonely Planet recommendations on shopping, nightlife, events and getting around
  • • Car & limo rental, travel insurance, Lonely Planet guidebooks and maps, Travel Gear Store for the purchase of travel items, vacation checklists and useful travel tips and information

Your personalized travel website can also be forwarded to travel companions and shared on social networks such as Facebook. You can even upload vacation photos into your personal website and create photo books to share with friends and family.

We currently support and can create personalized trip sites for the following destinations (click any of the destinations below):

My destination is not listed, what should I do?

We are continuously adding new destinations and welcome suggestions for new destinations. Whether you travel for business or pleasure, suggest your favourite city or country and we will add it to MyTripSite.com as soon as possible.

I emailed my Travel Itinerary, but my PURL was not created. Why?

There are several reasons why your Travel Itinerary would not be created:

1. The destination you requested is not currently supported. Please see “What destinations are available on My Trip Site” for a complete list of destinations that you can create personalized trip sites for.

2. There is no Travel Itinerary attachment included in your email or we cannot open your link or attachment. Sometimes files become corrupt or links do not function since personal logins are required. Please try resending your original Travel Itinerary in PDF format for correct processing.

3. Your Travel Itinerary was not sent in its original format. For correct and complete processing, we will require the original Travel Itinerary (preferably in original PDF format). Emails without the proper documents requesting personalized trip sites will not be created. If you do not have a Travel Itinerary, you can still create a personalized trip site by clicking here.

4. If you are sending in your Travel Itinerary, the flight portion is required to create a personalized trip site. If you do not have a flight portion, you can still create a personalized trip site by clicking here.

5. We do not currently support group bookings (several Travel Itineraries with the same booking number and different passengers) or bookings of persons more than 9. If your booking is a group booking or exceeds 9 persons, a personalized trip site cannot be created at this time. We hope to support these types of bookings in the near future.

6. We do not create personalized trip sites for bookings that have already expired. Any bookings that have travel dates that have already passed will not be processed into a personalized trip site. Please make sure you send Travel Itineraries for bookings that are for future travel dates.

7. Bookings that depart in 24 hours or less will not be created. Only bookings for future dates with more than 24 hours will be processed into personalized trip sites.

If you are still having problems created your personalized trip site, please contact us and one of our customer service representatives will be happy to assist you.

My hotel isn't listed, is there something wrong?

If you're hotel is not listed on mytripsite.com or in the personalized trip site you created, this does not mean that your hotel is not available. It only means that we don't currently have your particular hotel on our site at this time. Every month hotels are updated and added to our site.

I'm an agent, can I use My Trip Site for my clients?

As a travel agent you can certainly use MyTripSite.com to provide a value added service to your clients for commissions.
